Lac bangles and jewellery are adorned and appreciated by women since generations. The Adani Foundation, in collaboration with the SARDA Organisation, conducted a ten-day workshop on lac bangle making for SHG women from the nearby villages of Adani Power Maharashtra Limited. In this skill training programme, women participants acquired practical knowledge on making attractive bangles and various jewellery items from lac. Apart from it, they also learned skills of packaging and marketing of these bangles and other jewellery items which will enable them to earn handsome income. As far as Tirora is concerned, three batches of 30 women each have been trained since March 2017 upto now. Thus, a total of 90 women are currently putting their training into practice in order to gain expertise at the earliest and be able to make a living out of the sameenRural development & problemsstudy by studentsRural Immersion Programme: Adani foundation
