We study the village of Upuvelur in the Bahour Taluk of Puducherry, India through the lives of its people. . We aim to address the above-mentioned objectives through our research and this report. We have tried to touch upon the people, their occupations, religion, caste and social structures, education and various other aspects of the community’s life. Our study is through in depth interviews, focused group discussions and very importantly in observing and spending time with the people. After examining the kind of communication that reaches the people in the village, we infer where this communication is lacking and how it could be made better and more effective so as to improve the lives of people.enRural Development & problemsstudy by students
