Today, it has converted into a network of 40,000 artisans, spread across 600 villages of India. Starting with a belief in the enormous potential of Indian artisans, he decided to form a company that would showcase this potential to the world, while also upgrading the weaving techniques and lives of the artisans. As part of ethnographic research, our project involved staying in Tatera village for a period of 10 days and understand the lifestyle of the weavers and their families. During our stay, we tried to identify the daily routine, work and lifestyle, environmental conditions, working conditions and the ecosystem in which the weavers worked. We interacted with over 20 weaver families and tried to understand the influence and impact which Jaipur Rugs has been able to impart over the years. Our objectives as a part of the research program were –  To understand the lifestyle of the weavers  To understand how and in what ways do they relate with the work  To understand problems and barriers faced by weavers  To understand what are the actionable insights and what resources can be provided to the weavers and their families  To know about alternate and total income sources and what difficulties are or can be faced financially.enRural development & problemsstudy by studentsRural Research Projcet: Jaipur Rugs
