Geographical and Social Context: Phalodi Region in Jodhpur Kalron ki Dhani village, located in the Phalodi tehsil, represents the arid and socio-economically challenged regions of the Thar Desert. Phalodi, known as "the salt city," is characterised by its extreme temperatures and erratic rainfall. Summer temperatures can soar above 45°C, while winters are relatively cool, although nights can be very cold.
