(MICA, 2017) Bhalerao, Rasika; Angira; Abhishek
In our brief time of research, we have implemented various exploratory research methodologies to get the insights required to find the causes of such dropout and the cultural insights to find a solution that works best for these tribes. We were able to identify the pain points of the tribe in the context of education and what influences their life in general. Through these factors we tried to develop strategies tailor made to have an impact on this tribe residing in the particular demography of “Mahad” in Raigarh which was our area of operation. We have thoroughly explored the current scenario of education among the kids and the teenagers, the status and impact of government policies and other factors influencing the education for this tribe. This was done through various personal interviews, field visits, focussed group discussions and general observation of the community. We succeeded in developing three key strategies for all the identified obstruction in the path of education for the tribe. Our offered strategies and solutions were appreciated and would be implemented soon by the foundation
