    Rural Immersion project : Samvedana Foundation

    Dholka is a village in Gujarat, near Ahmedabad. It is the administrative centre for the district of Dholka. It is a village with a primarily agricultural economy. Samvedana Foundation has been working closely with women and adolescent girls in the Dholka area for years through Project Udgreev. The foundation aims to bring education and awareness amongst these women to help them educate and become self-sufficient. The initiative seeks to raise awareness in areas of financial literacy, nutrition, hygiene and government policies to help women and girls take leadership and guide their families in different capacities they wish to. The initiative also encourages an entrepreneurial mindset and aims to aid at every step. Our project aimed to understand the problems faced by them, as well as their awareness and adoption levels with respect to practices, information and exercises in these categories. The project also allowed us the opportunity to design communication strategies and study modules for the foundation to help teach the target group in focus. Vision: Be a catalyst for sustainable impact in the area of nutrition, education and skill-building amongst the underprivileged, considering their family as a unit and inclusions at the core. Initiatives: Samvedana Foundation proudly runs 4 imperative programs in the vicinity for the betterment of the villagers.
