    Water Conservation and Management: With Adas Gram Panchayat

    Adas is situated in the Anand district of Gujarat, India. Adas Gram Panchayat is a government administration body aimed to serve the local governing in the village Adas. It is responsible for managinglocal resource, facilitate governmental schemes with Sarpanch Mr. Vishal Patel as leader. Overall, it aims to improve livelihood, resolve issues or conflicts of the local community. Water conservation & management is crucial for sustenance of both - life and economy. In rural areas like Adas village, where focus on agriculture is a huge part of life for the individuals, the priority of the same even increases. Adas faces water related problems such as wastage, pollution and inefficient management of priced resources. It also impacts the health and hygiene of the villagers. This creates a crucial need for water conservation and management strategies. Project holds a higher level of relevance as it holds the potential to transform the socio-economic conditions by ensuring sustainable water management. Considering the behavioral aspect, understanding and altering the perception and behaviours of villagers towards water conservation is absolutely crucial. To counter these issues a major part of this project is dedicated towards educating villagers towards sanitation, water conservation, availability of government support. This is necessary because the change needs to be sustained and deep rooted.
