    Rural Research Project: Khoskadambapur
(MICA, 2014) Chakraborty, Ria; Mullick, Sarthak
Before we reached our destination, we did a bit of secondary research on Bolpur (Shantiniketan) in general. Exact data or any write-ups on Khoskadambapur village wasn’t available to us. Our primary research was mainly qualitative in nature, given the convenient sampling techniques used in all the research tools used by us. Lack of any quantitative approach and hence absence of any significance testing, we propose that our research findings are merely just indicative and not a proper representative of the population. Our research findings should be treated as mere hypothesis as they lack quantitative statistical testing Our research was ethnographical in nature. Across the period of eight days, we interacted with various people of the village belonging to different sections of the society. Across the span of eight days, we observed the daily habits and rituals of the people in the locality. This kind of observatory research helped us understand the village culture even better. Some of the people we interviewed include: Panchayat.
