    Rural research project : Gujarat ecology commission

    Before our team started for Bhadreshwar our team of three conducted a secondary research through numerous news article to have a first-hand historical background on how situation has developed over the course of 10 years. The links for those articles have been given in the reference sections. The findings of our secondary research was further substantiated by our primary research which was an ethnographic study of the fishermen members of the community. We lived with them for 3 days and in the process gathered as much qualitative data to understand their lives and have insights on the situation which involved their conflict with OPG power plant. Our aim was to collect unbiased facts and to develop a communication which sensitises people regarding similar issues and to provide a deep understanding about the lives of fishermen living in these communities.
