Rural Research Projcet: Analysing The Impact of Adani Suposhan Program on Sangini Empowerment”
(MICA, 2018) Patnaik, Sweta; Chopra, Chetan; Supekar, Kanchan; Nair, Rachita
This project is about how the initiative by Adani Foundation- Project Suposhan has impacted a number of Sangini’s lives directly, and via that, of a lot of people indirectly. Sanginis are volunteers only who are chosen by a pre-defined process and parameters which include: ▸ No language barriers ▸ No caste barriers ▸ Fluent in speaking ▸ Regular Availability Sanginis are responsible for bringing about behavioural changes and spreading awareness. We talked about the change in their lives before and after becoming a part of the program. Also how the program has brought about a socio-economic well-being. We have included in-depth interview analysis of sanginis along with our analysis of the report. This should not only be considered as a report but also a deep-dive into the actual lives of these women who have sacrificed their time of home-making, helped the needy in their vicinity and actually made a difference in their lives.
