    Rural Research Project: Bohli
(MICA, 2013) Gaikwad, Karan R.; Kolla, Karthik; Garg, Richa
The biggest aspiration of the villagers is to make sure their children are educated; however a major worry is that the children from the village don’t seem to want to leave home and work outside and there are very few jobs available in the area. The few children that were sent out to study, joined work left it within 2-3 months and came back. Hence the parents in general are worried about the reason of spending on their children’s education though they are highly in favour of it. Also another trend in Bohali was that people were renovating their homes in a big way. We saw several homes that were being constructed and had extremely modern looking tiles, and kitchen equipment. Also people were selling off land in order to buy cars and improve their standard of living although this was frowned upon by several people, as it resulted in loss of a long-term asset.
