Marketing strategy for Cosmo Foundation : Navi Jithardi
(MICA, 2016) Hariramani, Aarti; Sadanandan, Divya; Mukundrajan, Dheeptha; Mukundrajan, Dheeptha; Nair, Saahil
Cosmo Foundation, the CSR initiative of Cosmo Films Limited, was initiated in the year 2008 with the vision of assisting underprivileged children and youths to realize their potential. In order to achieve the same, Cosmo Foundation has created three major interventions in order to ensure that students belonging to rural areas have the same opportunities to avail as their urban counterparts. These include the Computer Literacy Programme(CLP),Cosmo Gyan Vihar Kendra program(CGVK) and Basic English Programme(BEP), which are operational in areas situated within a radius of 20km from the Cosmo Films factory at Navi Jithardi in Karjan block of Vadodara district. CFL, has firm faith in the adage “We can make a difference” in the lives of people who are less privileged and hence have initiated various educational programmes in the Government-run schools in the villages in and around Karjan and Aurangabad.Rather than focussing on creating physical infrastructure like most other CSR wings ofcompanies, Cosmo Foundation wants to make a difference by providing the necessary assistance of staff who are competent with subjects like Computers and English, where the rural students face a dearth of instructors capable of teaching the subject.
