It manufactures linen garments. LinenCut aspires to be a premium brand and they also have a separate brand called linen breathe that deals in men’s apparel. The organization wants to position its brand as a sustainable clothing alternative and hence have considered linen, as it is an eco-friendly fabric which gaining popularity across the globe. Linen was chosen as the fabric because of its cooling properties. Linen compared to other fabrics is lighter and air can easily pass through it thus keeping the wearer cool during summers. Linen also uses less water to manufacture as compared to other fabrics thus being environmentally more sustainable.Item Rural Immersion project : Ambuja Cement Foundation(MICA, 2020) Joshi, Heema; Gupta, Madhur; Tiwari, Namrata; Parasramka, Praniti; Maheshwari, Shriya; Nair, SiddharthKrishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) is an agricultural extension in India and works as a link between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and farmers. KVKs are present across different parts of the country and focus on bridging the gap between agricultural research and the actual extensions offered to the farmers in order to make them aware of the more advantageous practices, testing and providing suggestions, training regarding the techniques as well as the products etc. KVK focuses on providing farmers the right knowledge so that they can use the best practices and yield the maximum results as well as the profits. This is done with the help of different sessions that are conducted from time to time in order to pass on the information regarding different topics, by visits to the farms in order to understand the issues closely and give specific suggestions, farm development activities and extension activities as well. The KVK located in Gir Somanth as a part of the CSR program of Ambuja Cement Foundation has also been involved in similar activities and has benefited the farmers in and around the area and has contributed to the empowerment of the farmers.
