    Rural research project : SEWA
(MICA, 2017) Sahu, Subhasish; Srivastava, Shashank; Sharma, Praptee; Shah, Ashna; Sanjit, Kunwar
Our group was offered a live project with SEWA in the small town of Dhrangadhra, Gujarat. The objectives of the project was to help out the members of SEWA in Dhrangadhra who were operating a 'Homestay' to increase the number of visitors choosing their Homestay as their preferred place of stay and also improve their hospitality services. We had to assess if the Homestay fulfilled all the requirements that were mentioned on the website (AirBnB) they were listed on and if any additional facilities were to be provided. We also had to carefully study the community and tourist places nearby to help SEWA design a brochure to attract tourists to the Homestays. To fulfill the objectives mentioned, we had to provide SEWA with a creative brief with descriptions of places and communities we visited. We also had to provide a suggestion document with all the suggestions to improve the facilities within the Homestay. To complete this project, we were given a time period of 10 days to visit the place and gather all the information that was required. After the visit, we were given few more days to submit the creative brief and suggestion document.
