(MICA, 2016) Saurav, Kanj; Charan, Ramana; Singh, Shiksha; Rawat, Aakanksha; Bhardwaj, Shikha
Cohesion has an operational office in the district of Acchavani, 25 kms from Lachhkdi Village and a lot of local people have been involved with Cohesion where they work under the guidance of Renuka Ben (Cohesion contact officer in Acchavani). We met Asha Ben, Manisha Ben and Viral Bhai, the local moderators from Cohesion foundation who introduced us to the surroundings and acted as our guides throughout the rural project. Day 1 started with our Visit to the Kotwadia community of bamboo weavers in Gangpur village which has 45 families constituting of 60% women. The Village was a meagre 4 kms from where we were staying and we covered it easily by foot. The aim was to understand the dynamics between the male and female population, their work and get a picture on the livelihood status.
