    Rural Research Projcet: Beri
(MICA, 2014) Singla, Ragha; Chadha, Vaibhav; Trehan, Shreshth
This research was conducted to understand the village ethnography, the social structures existing, the village resources, media consumption, and their brand consumption. The communication need gaps were observed and appropriate strategies were suggested. The study was done through a qualitative rural appraisal by conducting in depth interviews and observation. Based on this study we could gather insights on the communication that is lacking and how we can make it better and more effective. People interviewed comprised of various age groups. The head of the household, the senior citizens even the kids were spoken to and insights were gathered. The discussions were more of an informal and a friendly chat as we didn’t want the villagers to get intimidated. Apart this, observation formed an essential part of our study. In our discussions, the respondents were encouraged to speak from their side and add valuable points and contribute in terms of mentioning their issues or their opinions or anything worthwhile.
