Swades Foundation, established by Ronnie and Zarina Screwvala, is dedicated to the singular goal of uplifting one million rural Indians every 5 to 6 years. Their vision is to empower rural communities, leading to a poverty-free rural India where these communities can independently improve their lives. They pursue this mission through comprehensive development efforts in the areas of Health, Education, Water & Sanitation, and Economic Development. Their approach aims to create a model that is scalable, replicable, and community-centric, and their current area of impact is the Raigad district in Maharashtra, India.
