    Rural Immersion Project Report: Analysis of consumption habits of the residents of Kaneti village in the last 5-10

    Kaneti is a very beautiful village situated near the narmada canal, the nearest city Sanand, Ahmedabad is at a distance of three kilometers from it. It has a wonderful lake. The village has a healthy population of 3000 people surrounded villages such Shela and Telav. It is on the outskirts of Ahmedabad at about twenty kilometers from it.The village does not have any primary health centres but has one school catering to the students till primary level. The sources of water for this village are the canal and water pumps, also a village lake.The village has almost ninety nine percent pakka houses. The languages that were spoken there are Gujarati and Hindi. We had the honour of meeting the village Sarpanch: Mr. Kishorebhai Vaghela. Main occupation of people there is farming, government job, family/retail business in Sanand, other occupations include Animal husbandry, embroidery work and Jewellery work. The village has five temples and the entire population is Hindu.
