| dc.description.abstract | Cineman Productions is a leading production company making Gujarati films. Despite several rejections from family and industry colleagues, Abhishek Jain, the company's founder, ventured into making the film and had his first successful film. Jain was the first filmmaker to introduce modern Gujarati films to urban audiences. Jain's legacy produced many blockbuster films. Like any other film industry, the Gujarati film industry is mainly independent, making films in regional languages. Indians speak twenty-two languages. Films from a few of these languages have already done business for more than Indian Rupees one billion. The Gujarati film industry has not received revenue of Indian Rupees one billion so far. This case concerns Jain's dilemma about what he should do to achieve a business worth Indian Rupees one billion. | |
