As a part of the curriculum of the Post Graduate Programme at MICA, Rural Immersion (RI) serves to be an integral part of student’s development of management skills in a rural setting. With an institutionally assigned client organization and a problem statement, students are expected to reside in the rural setting for 10 days and work in groups to understand the context and deliver appropriate solutions. Our group (Group number 6) was assigned to the Samvedna Foundation as a client organisation. The group then travelled to Vasant Pathshala, a primary school in Lana village, in Dholka talukat. Here, we resided in the school premises and were hosted by a caretaker family, responsible for looking after the school.
