Abstract

The village that we chose to conduct our rural research study is Harrakheda in Madhya Pradesh. The reason as to why we chose this particular village was the fact that it was a village in close proximity to a city like Bhopal and yet has been considered as a village. This gave us ample scope of studying the structure and fundamental issues surrounding this village and the socio economic life style in this village as compared to the urban life style of Bhopal. Harrakheda is a village located at a distance of 42 km from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It comes under the Berasia Tehsil and under the district of Bhopal. It is located in the Bhopal Berasia highway. The closest village are Imali at a distance of 25 km and Vidisha located at a distance of 45 km.
