Although women occupy positions of power and responsibility (Sarpanch, Talati, ASHA and Anganwadi workers) the men’s decisions are final and binding. They make all major decisions in the family and are also responsible for their wives and daughters decisions. However, there are instances where this is changing as women are now employed in self sustaining jobs and are realizing that patriarchy is wrong. However, for them to take actions against it, it will take some more time.
