Abstract
We decided to use a descriptive research design through case studies and naturalistic observation. We conducted interviews and focus group discussions and interacted with over 100 people. According to us, this was the best way to conduct the research as the topic was sensitive and people will be willing to open up to us only through a discussion.
We interacted with the adolescent girls group group at a few villages. However, we saw that there is a difference in the level of awareness and the power that they have if they see a child 4 marriage taking place. Let us take the example of the girls that we interviewed at Savpura and the girls we interviewed at Changa village. The girls at Savpura were not very open to talk to us.
There could be two reasons for the same- either they were not comfortable talking to us or they had low awareness or had lesser training regarding the ill effects of child marriages.
