| dc.description.abstract | Ekta Nursery was envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi while dedicating the Statue of Unity to the Nation. Ekta Nursery was developed as a tourist destination to spread awareness about eco-friendly practices. This nursery serves dual purposes of serving as education cum demonstration centre for tourists and providing employment to local people. Ekta Nursery yields one million plants of Unity signifying the underlying theme of Unity pervading across Kevadia. Ekta Tribal café A non-conventional restaurant. To spread the message of unity, conservation of local tradition and environment Ekta tribal Café is a perfect place A Cafeteria caters to the tourists with tribal delicacies, especially the different types of herbal tribal tea - a unique beverage of this region. Ekta Handicrafts: Demonstration cum Sale Unit Tourists can see making of Bamboo crafts, Areca leaf utensils and Organic pots live and can purchase them too along with Ekta plants. They are the perfect alternate for sustainable environment friendly livelihood. Artefacts like bamboo craft, Areca Leaf Utensils, Organic Pots and Bonsai.In addition to these, Ekta Nursery also houses a unit Hydrponics-soilless farming, an apiary, tribal huts and souvenir shops. | |
