dc.description.abstractThe following report is on the Rural Immersion experience of Group 1. The report highlights the organisation, project, experience and recommendations for the same. For the programme our group visited Kanwat Village and the organisation incharge was Jaipur Rugs. The duration of the experience was 10 days and the village stay was 7 days. The immersion started with an orientation on 16th September 2019 which was held at Jaipur Rugs head office, followed by village stay and the end presentation which was scheduled on the 26th of September 2019. The project assigned to us was social media strategy for the Jaipur Rugs foundation. Here we also need to highlight that the foundation initially perceived us as ‘MEDIA STUDENTS’ and their expectation was that we are equipped with the skills of video and sound editing but on discussion with Arbind Sir, They were then given clarity on our expertise and what we could deliver for the organisation. To go ahead with the project we needed to gather empowerment stories that could be put on Jaipur rugs foundation social media pages namely Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram. Our approach was to give them an all encompassing strategy to attract more companies to collaborate with them on their initiatives, which in hindsight is their primary marketing goal.
