dc.description.abstractMahelav is a Village Panchayat in Petlad Taluka in Anand District of Gujarat State, India. The geo-coordinates of the village are - Latitude: 22.56°N; Longitude: 72.818°E. It is located 19 Kms west of District Headquarters Anand and a distance of 87 Kms from State capital Gandhinagar. Petlad, Anand, Nadiad and Kheda are the towns/municipal councils which are near Mahelav. Mahelav village lies in the plains of central Gujarat. The districts of Anand, Kheda and Vadodara lie in the drainage basin of the Mahi river and the relief map of these districts are exceptionally fertile.Mahelav is situated at an average elevation of 32 meters above sea-level and has a fairly flat topographic layout, which is quite typical of the central districts of Gujarat.
