The Rural Immersion Program at MICA was devised to ensure that all the management students in the institute get a hands-on experience with regards to life in the rural areas of the country. Also, this program would give insights about the consumer behavior of the hugely untapped rural population of the country to the budding marketers. With the emphasis on communication, this program would enable the students to understand the various problems that are being faced by villagers and help them devise feasible solutions for the betterment of society as a whole. It would increase awareness among the students and also open their eyes towards the plight of the farmers. With the objectives of both the organizations coming in consonance, the Rural Immersion Program at MICA tied up with SEWA to analyze the impact of the various activities and schemes that SEWA has implemented in the villages of the Bayad taluka.
