Rural Immersion Project – Village : Lupungdih, District: Thane, State: Maharashtra
Before setting out to the village for the research, we conducted secondary research to prepare ourselves accordingly. We referred to the data available on the internet and spoke to BAIF-MITTRA, an organization that works in the Jawhar region to improve agricultural practices and facilitate skill development. Although much information was not available about Akhar, we gathered basic understanding of the Jawhar Taluka to structure our research better. In-depth interview is a qualitative research method in which a researcher engages in one-to-one conversation with the respondent. This method elicits more honest and trustworthy answers from the respondents.
