Abstract
Khanyara is a small village located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. It is located 8 km from Dharamsala and covers an area of 625 hectares. is noted for its scenic beauty and is a much visited pilgrim spot. It is located 846 metres above sea level and is surrounded by Rait Tehsil towards west, Nagrota Bagwan Tehsil towards South, Kangra Tehsil towards South, Gopalpur Tehsil towards East. Village Climate The climate is warm and temperate in Khanyara. In winter there is much less rainfall than in summer. The average annual temperature in Khanyara is 18.6 °C. About 2715 mm of precipitation falls annually.
