dc.description.abstractRiwai is a medium sized village located in Pynursla district of East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya. It is about 80 km away from Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya. As per 2011 census report a total of 78 families reside in the village of Riwai. The Riwai village has a population of 438 of which 224 are males and 214 are females. The population of children within the age group of 0-­‐6 is 83, which makes up about 18.95% of the total population of the village. The average sex ratio of Riwai village is 995, which is lower that the state average of 989, however, the child sex ratio as per the census report id 1075, which is higher than the state average of 970.
