dc.description.abstractThe women and child development ministry (WCD) of Gujrat launched this unique initiative called “Umbare Anganwadi” ( means doorstep anganwadi ) under the ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services) programme to reach out to children. Under the ICDS initiative, the department of WCD, Gujrat started a TV program called “Umbare Anganwadi” which is aired every alternate day through Vande Gujarat as well as Jio TV and YouTube. The primary aim is to impart pre-school education using TV and digital mediums so as to meaningfully engage with both the children and their parents.
