dc.description.abstractFar from being just a government initiative, the NRLM represents the transformative power of community-driven development, aimed at uplifting marginalized communities and equipping them with the tools to shape their own destinies. Through a multifaceted approach, the NRLM touches on various aspects of poverty alleviation, sustainable livelihoods, financial inclusion, and gender equality. The Ikhedut Portal plays a vital role in enhancing farming capabilities and reducing the financial burden on small farmers. It promotes sustainable agriculture by offering affordable access to farm amenities, sheds, and high-quality plows. Additionally, the Animal Loan Program empowers livestock farming by offering loans and subsidies, contributing to the overall development of the agricultural sector. The Mahila Kaushalya Pariyojana (MKPY) focuses on empowering female farmers through Self Help Groups (SHGs) and value addition activities, particularly in cumin cultivation. The machinery investment required for these value addition activities highlights the need for accessible resources and infrastructure to support women's entrepreneurial opportunities.
