dc.description.abstractSmokeless Chulhas: In the year 2013-2014 the Sorath Federation distributed 3500 smokless chulhas with the support of ACF to as many families and received a contribution of Rs. 300/- per chulha for further spread awareness and for repair and maintenance of the chulhas. Internet Saathi: In collaboration with the Tata Trusts and ACF the Sorath Federation took up a project of training women on the use of android phones and internet to access a range of information.131 women were trained to understand the use of internet in everyday life. To understand the sentiments of the organization towards building a new brand and understanding consumer behavior, primary interviews were conducted. Insights were gathered around the working of Sorath Women Foundation. The following observations were made: ● The group consisted of more than 10,000 women connecting over 95 villages ● The federation worked on various issues concerning these women at large. These included Social activities, Widow remarriage and other related concerns (Widhwa Samaan Program), they set up Internet Saathi, smokeless chulhas, etc. ● They want to start 2 new businesses: Credit Cooperative and Sanitary Napkin Production Business. ● They wanted to build awareness about the brand through various branding and communication tools across these villages.
