Abstract
Banbhori village has around 784 households with a population of about 4400 with a gender ration of 884:1000 which is close to the average gender ratio of the state as per the census data 2011. 14% of the
population lies under the age of 6 years with 635 kids in the village under that age. The child sex ratio in banbhori is 857 as compared to 834, the average child sex ratio in the state.
About 30% of the population is scheduled castes and no resident fall under the scheduled tribe category. As per the conversations had with the villagers, 60% the population belongs to the general category and of
which 50% are Jaats (a dominant category in the region). The literacy rate in the village is 64.37 % with male literacy at 72.1% and female literacy at 54.99% which is way lower than the average of the state.
