Area: Shela, District: Ahmedabad, State : Gujarat
Though the policies are being used in places necessary in the Shela gram, the policies which are relevant to girl child are not yet effectively utilised. Further awareness programs need to be conducted to increase girl child education amongst Shela residents. Also, given the increasing number of societies in the area, it is important to further develop water conservation programs. The boring of each society has led to depleted water levels and the water management policies should be actively looked at. Also, the number of villages to be surveyed should be higher for further effective study.
