Rural Immersion Project – Village : Losar, District: Lahaul-Spiti, State: Himachal Pradesh
A good number of reasons lead us to the decision of doing our rural research project in village of Himachal Pradesh. We as a team had come to a consensus about selecting a village to which none of us belong and a place where none of us has ever been. Himachal Pradesh is one of those states. All of us since our childhood have been hearing about the abundant natural beauty, the snow - capped mountains, the placid lakes of the Himalayas and the extremely welcoming nature of the people living there. A wish to see these things for real also prompted us to do our project there. The chance to study a new culture and the life of the people who live in such an isolated part of the country prompted us to pick Losar.
