Abstract
Hansiba Represents the unique inherited embroidery skills practised by thousands of craftswomen of Radhanpur in Gujarat. The Name of the brand is eponymous to SEWA’s first and eldest artisan, Hansiba. The brand is owned and managed by the women artisan members of SEWA Trade Facilitation Centre (STFC). All the products are hand embroidered and hand crafted, 65% of the sales go directly to the artisans, and the artisans are the shareholders and suppliers of the company. In essence, the brand Hansiba is a fusion of the traditional and contemporary, a medium where the rural and the urban join hands to capture imagination of the world. In the words of embroidery artisan, “The lives of my family hangs on the thread which I embroider.”
Another way of tackling negative reviews was to get positive reviews. Hence, they were suggested to get their employees onto amazon and getting to write positive reviews for the said products. These comments could then be up-voted, by giving it a 5-star or 4-star rating.
