Awareness generation & capacity building, mobilisation of rural water supply : with National Livelihoods Resource Institute (NLRI)

Abstract

The National Livelihood Resource Institute (NLRI) is a non-governmental organisation established in 1999 in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is a flagship initiative of the Gramin Vikas Trust (GVT), a leading development organisation working in the field of rural livelihoods. The NLRI is a knowledge centre and resource hub for sustainable rural livelihoods. It works in the development sector and aims at improving the livelihood of poor and marginalised communities with a sustainable and inclusive approach. It works to build the capacity of individuals, organisations, and governments to design and implement effective livelihood programs. The NLRI also supports research and advocacy on rural livelihood issues. Some initiatives taken are National Resource Management (NRM), skill development, institutional development, developmental studies, education, health and sanitation, social entrepreneurship and market access.
