dc.description.abstractFrom a time when we assumed one cut fits all sizes to now when silhouettes are shaped to fit different body shapes, fashion and Indian fashion more so at that has come a really long way. Today's millennials in general, and women in particular, inherit the meaning of the confidence and project it in a way they feel expresses it best, especially when it comes to the two extremes of their wardrobe, swimwear and wedding outfits. Celebrated under the ’30 under 30′ tag by Forbes, Shivan and Narresh are a designer duo who launched India’s first luxury holiday brand. Over the course of their illustrious careers, they have designed for brands like Abercrombie and Kent, Swarovski and Van Heusen. Entertainment bigwigs like Nicky Minaj, Frieda Pinto and Lisa Hayden have also worn their collection. Swimsuits designed by them were also showcased in the movie ‘Life of Pi’. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
