Gs have been facing problems with meeting regularly due to covid and the meetings have become very irregular. Some SHGs have become defunct as well. Financially also they have been facing problems since not being able to do the labor work they used to, so not getting money and there proper savings are not happening. From AKRSP’s side, they have been surveying the village level families to find out who are the most needy ones and have given them a kit with basic food grains like aanaj, as well as some masalas, dal and chawal etc. Other than that, they have also given a mini kit to some families, which has seeds for vegetables so that they can grow it, and wont face nutrition problems and wont have to spend money on buying it as well. Their respect and value increased in the family. Mostly the beneficiaries were farmers… among the villagers, 70 to 80% have farms and need inputs like seeds. The foundation also distributed masks among the villagers. In the field level, they feel Covid-19 is a big cities ki bimari and it wont happen to them, so initially there were a lot of problems with social distancing and getting them to wear mask. Now people might still use masks, but have stopped caring as time period increases.
