dc.description.abstractMoothedathukavu is a hamlet in the Vaikom taluka of Kottayam district in Kerala. It falls under the Panchayat of Thirumani Venkita Puram (T.V. Puram) and belongs to the South Kerala Division. It is located 25 kms to the North of Kottayam’s district headquarters and 178 kms from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. The postal head office is also located at T.V. Puram. Thycattussery taluka is located towards the west of Moothedathukavu with Pattanakkad takula towards west, Cherthala towards its south and Kaduthuruthy towards its East. Cities near Moothedathukavu include Vaikom, Cherthala, Kanjikkuzhi and Aroor. This tiny village is near the border of Kottayam District and Alappuzha district. It is quite near the Arabian Sea resulting in mostly humid weather.
