Behram Sarishta is the last village of Jalandhar district on Bhogpur-Hoshiarpur road adjoining the boundary of hoshiarpur district. It is around 40 Kms from the Jalandhar city and the nearest town to the village is Bhogpur which is around 3.7 Kms. The main mode of transport is private two-wheelers and cars whereas a public transport mode like bus, sharing autos etc also connects Behram Sarishta to nearest towns and cities. Most of the residents own bike and cars and commute by them only. Majority of the villagers are engaged in agricultural activities but many od them have started their own small businesses because of the decreasing profit margins in the farming business and many of them have one or the other member working abroad. Families usually have multiple earning members.
