Rural Immersion project : Consortium For Dewats Dissemination Society

Abstract

The project was allotted to us under the rural immersion programme of MICA, Ahmedabad. The key goal of the project is to make the students exposed to rural India so that as a marketeer the students have a holistic understanding of the Indian Market. At the same time, the project enables the students to get face to face with the challenges and issues that rural India faces and how many organisations are working towards the betterment and upliftment of the lives of these people. The project also exposed us to multiple classroom learnings in real time, where we did some primary research in the form of interviews with the partner organisation and a lot of secondary research where we understood the current position of the client and referred to many online resour ces for better understanding of the domain. We as a team of five, under the guidance of Prof. Arbind Sinha, worked on different aspects of the study, where we learned more about the client through primary and secondary sources and at the same time gained understanding of the client’s position to deliver an optimal solution for their problem.
